Dear self,
You are so immersed in your own problems that most of the time you are wide awake even though it’s 3 in the morning. Learn to let go of the problems. Get some rest. Get some sleep. You’ll have the morning to lose yourself in the problems. When night comes, when your head hits the pillow, just close your eyes. Clear your head of worries and problems. Or else you’ll be like a walking zombie in the morning. You need the rest since you’ll be robbed of it come June. And then you’ll regret why you didn’t get all the rest you had. Problems are meant to be faced when you’re fully aware and awake. That’s when your brain comes up with the perfect solutions to all your problems.
Sincerely,
The Voice Within
Dear self,
You are known for running away from problems. Whenever you are faced with a problem, you tend to run away from it as fast as you can. That’s not how you’re suppose to deal with problems. You’re supposed to face them. Be fearless. Don’t be a coward. Because you’re not one. I know it might seem difficult, but deal with them one by one. Take one step at a time. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again. Don’t ever give up without even trying. You’re stronger than you think. You know you’re tough.
Sincerely,
The Voice Within
Dear self,
I know it’s tough right now because everything’s all over the place. Things come at you when you’re not even ready to welcome them. But please don’t give up. Please don’t break down. Everything happens for a reason. What you need to do is just close your eyes and open your heart. Don’t frown. Don’t sigh. Because if you do, it means you’ve already given up without even trying. You know what they say, “Winners never quit;Quitters never win.” Falling down is not embarrassing. What’s embarrassing is if you fall and just sit there waiting for someone to come along and pick you up. People will be impressed if you fall down and get back up and walk as if nothing happened. Life’s like that. Don’t depend on others. You only have yourself to rely on. Stand tall. Walk proud.
Sincerely,
The Voice Within
Dear God,
Please let this be the best decision i’ve ever made in a while. My life has been a struggle so far. But i’m not blaming You. I’ll never blame You as You have given so much to me. I only blame myself but I’m hoping to make up for lost time, money and everything in between.
Sincerely,
Your not-always-thankful creation.
i’m just a kid with no ambitions. wouldn’t come home for the world.
You know how some people have this one question that will make you think deeply? Like “Why is it so great to be you?” or “Why should I be like you?” I think I might have the answer to that. Or answers. So, why is it so good to be me? One, I don’t care about what people says about me. Whether they say I’m fat or I’m not friendly or whatever shit they say. I have the power to block what have been said about me. I just brush them off like dusts on my laptop. Do you know how many people get affected by what’s said about them? They change their looks, their personality, the way they dress, the things they eat just because someone said or commented something. That is the power of words. So before you speak, always think first. You’ll never know how someone can take the things you said and turn them into actions. Sometimes it may be good; sometimes you might just hurt that someone. You might mean well, but from another person’s perspective is totally different.
Second, I don’t take things seriously; I go with the flow. Now wait a minute. People might think I’m a confused 15 year old girl and not an adult because of that statement. But the truth is, if you look at life, life itself is beautiful. It presented itself to you. You don’t have to try so hard to live your life. You don’t have to plan where you’re going or what to do with your life. Take it as it is. How many times have you plans backfired? How many times have you plan something, but not once did they all come true? That’s the fact of the matter, why waste time planning, when you can just go with the flow? Life a little, you know. Be spontaneous. You’ll never know how long you have till you die.
Third, I’m not easily influence by things around me. I come from a small town and then living in a big city. I’m young, I’m free. That’s how I like it. But I’m still me. Still the same old me you’ve known ten years back. I don’t get culture shock. I know of some people who came to the big city and totally get culture shocked. They change everything about them. Because people in the big city live differently from those from small towns. We don’t have high end shops, high end fashions, expensive foods and whatnots. So these people, wanting to shop at high end places, eating expensive foods, they ended up stealing money, shoplifting and everything just so they can afford those luxuries. I’m not saying living in a big city is bad, I’m just saying you have to know where you come from and how you were raised. Knowing your roots and sticking to your roots are two important things that will get you through life. I know because those got me through life and they are still getting me through.
